I’ve finally got a wee Etsy shop up and running! Please check it out here!
I’ve listed a few paintings I previously made for Fun A Day Dundee a few years ago, some original illustrations, paintings, and craft pieces. I’m currently photographing new craft work to go on the shop, which I’m excited to share.
Fun A Day Dundee 2018 is looking very busy! The participant numbers are currently sitting around 60-70, so I think that the exhibition will have a very creative, crafty appearance to it, with lots of busy work on display. There is amazing work being produced for FADD, I just love browsing through Instagram & Twitter to see all the updates on the individual projects. Search #funadaydundee2018 to get an insight into the art projects people have committed themselves to for the month of January. There’s a really inspiring and encouraging vibe between participants too.
I’m currently playing catch up on my own FADD project where I produce a quick, fun drawing every day. I’m still enjoying it, and I’ve found it’s helped me reflect on what interests and motivates me on a creative level. Since the goal is to produce/ have fun every day, I have, and will produce work in a variety of styles, with different subjects, depending on my mood/ time to spare. So far I have discovered that I am keen to practice and work on a certain style of drawing with people being the subject. My favourites are days 1-3, and the eye. That explains my recent direction in work with pet portraits which I love doing, and day 3 is the style I am keen to expand on. Others are fun doodles which I didn’t feel too inspired or happy with.
I am also at the stage now where I can begin to prepare for the Fun A Day Exhibition… Blogging, writing, posters, advertising, booking etc… wish me luck & save a spot in your diary for March 2nd, 3rd, 4th! 😉
